JKLMNO are set to release their debut album in 2013, which the band hope to build on successes of their previous EPs which have seen them achieve festival appearances at T in the Park, Benicassim & more, airtime on Radio 1, 6music, Wales, regional and others and land them synchronization with Hollyoaks and Alisports.

The sound has matured from previous EP efforts – building on previous descriptors such as “Pop-rock cast in the epic mould” (Benicassim magazine review) and “what would happen if Bombay Bicycle Club made moved to surf atop a philharmonic orchestra” with anthemic choruses of ‘In Medias Res’ and ‘Borderlines’ and simply turning it around on other points with darker moments on ‘Between the Devil and the deep sea’.

They released two tracks from the album in 2012 ‘Heal’ and ‘Where Sorrow Lays’ which both featured regularly on BBC Radio Wales, the latter receiving praise from James Dean Bradfield “a beautiful drifting melancholia to that, I really liked it”. Both tracks hinting that a more electric, faster paced selection of tracks will feature on the upcoming album. But expect JKLMNO back to their somber and ‘strange but beautiful’ (Adam Walton, Radio Wales on a previous EP) side with tracks such as the epic ‘Before I Wash Away’.

The album will be released in the summer, with a string of dates and festival appearances to promote.

Subba-Cultcha.com ‘joyful and triumphant indie-rock anthemism just begging to have a lighter waved at it’.

"If you're a fan of letters, or glitchy beats with really nice vocals you'll love this."
